I went with trepidation after hearing about this review, but I enjoyed the movie for what it was and didn’t feel it was tedious at all. A waste of two hours? Not at all.

I liked it. I thought it was bravely realised and that the performances were sensitive. It was a little long, but it is, after all, based on a mamoth Victorian melodrama.

I disappointing review but I’ll still give Les Mis a chance – based solely on the source material. I have misgivings with a cast which is largely not recognised for singing ability – esp after seeing Les Mis recordings using accomplished singers. Luke doesn’t say much about the singing – which may be a good thing (or not).

You hated Les Miserables, but loved Killing Them Softly. As the latter was unadulturated rubbish I am, having read your review, really quite looking forward to seeing the former.

Mr Buckmaster is trying too hard to be controversial. He misunderstands what the uprising is about. It is NOT the French Revolution. I have read similar reviews and it is so disappointing that they are so vapid and pathetic.
I doubt of Mr Buckmaster ever met Jack Warner. He certainly is not of his stature nor that of Mr Hooper.

Get a life Mr Buckmaster and endeavour to gain some reasonable skills as a reviewer , especially know your material!
