Stuff we like: Mimes, banana protectors and the downfall of Internet Explorer

Crikey’s favourite clickety-clicks for the day:

The album cover mime quiz. Argh, this is so hard! A mime recreates album covers, you guess what they are. I got about four.

40-somethings on Facebook. Myspace remains the domain of the young and illiterate, but 40-somethings have taken to Facebook with zeal, it would seem. This guy is possibly overthinking it all, though.

The 22 worst gifts on Earth. From banana protectors to root-beer-flavoured vodka, Esquire looks at the worst gifts available. Actually, the night vision goggles look awesome and I’d be quite happy with those, but I’m willing to agree on the toad-skin purse.

Safari and Chrome on the rise. Apple’s Safari and Google’s Chrome browsers have gained part of the browser market share in 2008. Internet Explorer is sitting at 81 per cent of Internet users (down from 92 per cent four years ago), with Firefox creeping up at about 15 per cent. Wikimedia has an insanely detailed graphic to track it all.
