The 10 websites for 2009. PC World predict the sites that will take off this year, including Qik, Boxee, TripIt, Loopt and a bunch of others with the kind of stupid spelling that has become de rigeur for web 2.0. Crikee? Crik-e? Crikii?
Working the coffee shops. In America, some lucky people get to use coffee shops with free wifi as their offices. Crikey would do this, but the SMXL vs. Cafenatics wars could turn nasty.
Palin gets trashy(er). Remember how Sarah Palin’s $180,000 campaign wardrobe was supposed to be donated to charity? Not so, says New York — it’s sitting in trash bags at the RNC offices.
The Slate 60. Slate’s list for the largest charitable donations is out for 2008. I gave at least $5 to the Red Shield Appeal last year, but just missed out on making it in, apparently.
Mexican wrestlers. First Dog loves professional wrestling, and although I don’t usually share his passion, this footage from a pro wrestling event in Mexico is amazing:
