You can’t eat a desert, fool! For pedants with linguistically-challenged friends, HELP! educational blog lists the 32 most commonly misused words and phrases. How they arrived at 32, and how they know they’re the “most commonly misused”, seems to depend on questionable research. But enough pedantry, it’s a helpful guide to affect v effect, compliment v complement, fewer v less and desert v dessert.
