On this lovely Friday morning the Crikey team were pleasantly surprised by our fabulous editor Jonathan with a box of Krispy Kreme donuts. New varieties of Rocky Road and Iced Dough-Vo were a hit.
But this treat may soon be a thing of the past with news this afternoon that Arnott’s Biscuits have issued a ‘legal ultimatum‘ to Krispy Kreme alleging that the Iced Dough-Vo is too similar to their Aussic icon the Iced Vo-Vo.
Oh, the shame….

When I was a kid I wanted to call my first born Iced Vo-Vo. I thought it was the most beautiful sounding name in the world… hmm. Good thing I grew up. Here is an actual picture of a Krispy Kreme Iced Dough-Vo at Crikey:
