After enduring 20 years of award nights, the Australian Graphic Design Association is reinventing them. “It’s not entertaining. They don’t reflect the times,” says designer and organiser Andrew Ashton. “Designers these days are more interested in trimming their beards or fixing their motorbikes than sitting around for four hours watching everyone win awards but them.”

I mean, can you believe it?! Apart from being bored that other less talented people are winning awards, apparently “designers these days are more interested in trimming their beards or fixing their motorbikes.” Shades of Abbotthink: evidently, Australian designers are all narcissistic, hipster bearded biker blokes.
