    It’s a dog!

Mind you, considering where I’m posting this comment, I suppose that’s a compliment.
It took 10 mins of faffing about just to login.
(And I’m still not sure how I managed it.!)
No doubt I’ll get used to it and it’s better for looking back at a certain cartoonist’s
    previous efforts.
    Anyway….Now I’m waiting……and waiting……for all those singing and dancing T-shirts.

But…but…but you promised a chorus line of baboons dressed like Nicky Kidman (or was that Nicky Webster? I forget) warbling the entire soundtrack of Keating! The Musical.
I shall stamp my foot and call you George if I cannot have my way, good sir!
    Hmph!

Not a lot. Why so much overseas content? I’m not against it per se. but it does seems to threaten Crikey regulars. Also, am feeling persecuted because I lost so many comments.
We have to get used to it.

    Feeling grim.

I vote Sandwich…mainly because i’m hungry and you have inspired me to make a sandwich.

Thank you Firstdog for encouraging me to eat and thus ensuring my continued existence on this planet.

Also i await these fabled t-shirts with bated breath, i need to bring your inspired lunacy to the citizens of rural England

Venise, there are two weeks of comments temporarily missing on the website at the moment. Every comment before then was imported — many more than 20000 over the years! The others will return soon.

But Firstdog, where is your Brave and Handsome Website? I know it was a shambles, but how can we find your AFL cartoons from 2+ years ago?

Your Richo cartoon… What about Richo?? God in Heaven, what about **Richo**???

The content seems good (or at least voluminous) but as I write this I’m waiting and waiting and waiting for the link I clicked on the front page to take me to where I want to go. It has been 2 minutes so far.I’ll be giving up if it hasn’t worked by the time I post this. Ordinarily I would try again, but past experience of Crikey websites has taught me to not bother.

The only other website that gives me anywhere near as much trouble is the Telstra site. It doesn’t surprise me that Telstra can’t get a decent site going, but I am surprised about Crikey. I assume that part of the problem is that the people who design it are on supercalifragi-fast office connections and never bother to check what it’s like out here.

(The only reason i can get to Mr Dog’s blog is that I have it bookmarked – I want to read the Pure Poison story linked on the front page, but the link hasn’t worked yet, so I won’t be reading it.)

Excellent question rmacfarl – they will return on the Crikey website – although I think shambles is a bit unkind.

As for the rest of you, ffs!

    These are your choices:

    Entirely

    Totally

    Totally Entirely

    Mostly Totally

    Mostly sort of Entirely

    Sandwich

I don’t like it (and expect to get my comment to be edited accordingly).

So enough of your free form whinging! Jeff Waugh? Are you there? Eject these reprobates from my blog. Throw them in the brig! The blogbrig!

I had no wish to be a bit unkind Firstdog, “a shambles” was your own description that was up on the website; at least I thought that was your description but I thought it was much more brave and handsome & I kept on loyally revisiting it month after month hoping you’d update your gallery beyond July-August 2008 but you never did and now I see why it was for commercial reasons and fair enough too…

P.S. re the new website – in the words of our country’s least favourite red-headed female sometime politician i.e. not our favouritre ranga Julia, “I don’t like it” (intoned with back-country drawl which can scratch glass).

It seems to be trying to be a down-under Huffington Post and it isn’t even close.
