Sorry for being so late-I’m just eating my lunch.
These birds are priceless. If you come across one, turn you head away for a few seconds then whip it back to look at the Frogmouth again. You will see their marvellous and penetrating stare then he/she will realize you’re looking and decide to become a dead branch again.
It must be the bird my Dad said blends with its background? How beautiful is this creature. Thank you La Trobe birdwatchers.
The hard-core bird nerds like to call these Scrawny Dogmouths. There’s 3 frogmouths in Australia, the other 2 are bloody hard to find.
