First Dog’s First Ever Podcast Guided Tour Extravaganza!

Oh my goodness! Here is your handy spoken word guided tour of my exhibition The Universe According to First Dog on the Moon in the form of a Podcast! My first one ever! I am quite excited.

If you download it on to your mp3 player, and then go and walk through the exhibition whilst listening to it, you can hear me talking sort of coherently about the show AT THE SAME TIME AS SEEING IT! SCIENCE!

I am trying to get the show to tour (anyone? hello?) but for those of you who cannot get to Platform I have included some photos of the various bits and pieces so you can listen to the podcast and look at the pictures at the same time and pretend that you are actually there.  How thoughtful. The link to the podcast is at the bottom. Left click to listen, right click to download. Click on the images to biggen them. And if you do actually go to all the trouble of downloading it and wandering through the exhibition, leave us a comment or some such because why not? Thank you for your time.

  1. Thanks for the tour – although for the first few seconds I mistakenly thought Phillip Adams had wrenched the mic from you. Your voices have a similar timbre, I mean that in a nice way, Mr Onthemoon.

Hopefully the Rudd Pets socks get a second production run as I only have one pair remaining and must save them for special occasions (ie: Opening of Parliament, Budget Day, first day of winter, my birthday).

  2. Wow! The magic of multimedia!
It’s just like I was there! The ambience of the commute crowd scurrying along, the strolling shoppers, the clacking of work heels, the tumbling of school kids.
All on their way to the station.
Momentarily distracted by pictures of funny little animals.
Then they stop and smile and nod and laugh and point. They’ll have a better day.
And what’s that? I can hear a voice above the tunnel buzz.
Oh god, it’s some prat with an Art Appreciation short course under his straining belt banging on about how he knows what the artist was feeling and trying to convey.
And using arty jargon like ‘cardboard’ and ‘dialectical relativism’.
If only First Dog Onthemoon could see this, he’d have a field day.

  5. Hurrah! I finally made it today.

Had the guided podcast tour and it was great.

The Stations of the Cross made me feel even sadder than when I saw the cartoon the first time.

  6. As a tour guide, I took many a visitor to Melbourne past your exhibition at Platform – it never failed to get a giggle here and there! Thanks for the value, I was a little sad to see it had been taken down last week…
