Wrong. The best drinking hole in Canberra is the Wig and Pen. Easily the best beer in town.

There’s even outdoor seating where we could put a little dog bowl full of beer.

FYI, the best place to have a drink in Canberra is called the Phoenix. The Holy Grail, which is pretty well the epitome of Canberra; always too cold or too hot and full of public servants, journalists and backbenchers, is where most of the press gallery go, so if you want to see Glen Milne ‘not drinking’ that may be the place.
