What has this woman done, apart form being a victim of crime, to merit her face being featured on the front of a newspaper?

You are so right I feel embarrassed about having put a copy of the front page on my Crikey morning media watch. I have participated in the torturing of an innocent woman and regret it.

A further reason to bypass tabloid papers permanently and yes, ABC TV news is guilty of becoming more tabloid.

The ABC and The Age have gloried in this po-faced, loving hating every moment of grim news. Of course it’s sickening. I daresay the descent into tabloid journalism by the better purveyors of what is laughingly called the news is matched by the graph showing how hard it’s becoming to earn a dollar?
The abc is the same as the sleazebags at newscrap. their revolting imitation of newscrap has obliterated any remaining pretence they may have had to providing independent, honest, public-interest journalism.
