Danby, the wordle

On Monday MHR Michael Danby made some pretty tough attacks on Crikey and New Matilda, both agents of malignant anti-Semitism, it would seem. His speech to the House bothered me. Bothers me. I’ve never been pigeon-holed as a racist in the federal parliament before. Read it here.

On the everything looks nicer on a doilly theory, I thought his words might feel better if rendered as a wordle. Thus:

“unmoderated, unleashed and unhinged comments”; “hate filled comments”; And it’s “anti-semitic” to call for sanctions against Israel.

Methinks Mr D. protesteth too much.

Mr Danby would find far more sympathy for Israel if it did not continually expand “settlements” and avoided contretemps such as the recent unfortunate misunderstandings in Gaza and Lebanon. These last two were massacres. What do you call them, Michael?

People are getting very tired of the Israel lobby and its incessant bullying, Mr Danby.

You’re only a real anti-racist when you oppose racism against every group, not just your own. The day Danby attacks Andrew Bolt, Piers Akerman and other (ironically pro-Israel) wackos with as much vehemence as he attacks Crikey and NewMatilda is the day Danby will have some credibility to complain about racism. I’m sure Danby’s constituents of Somali, Lebanese, Turkish, Indigenous, Sudanese, Liberian etc etc heritage would agree.
