Nick Cave reads from The Death of Bunny Munro

death-of-bunnyThis is just about the coolest thing currently traversing the intertubes. Nick Cave’s The Death of Bunny Munro is coming out in Australia in August with Text Publishing. His UK publisher Canongate has created a website for the book with the man himself reading chapter extracts of this deliciously black, sexually twisted, hilarious yet heart-wrenching novel. The character Bunny Munro is a self-made man – a perpetually drunk and tent-panted door-to-door salesman, who finds beauty in women of every status and at every stage of life. But his poor, poor son Bunny Jr… Seriously, I’ll let the extracts speak for themselves. Watch here.

Oh definitely looking forward to this. In the mean time at least I can read And The Ass Saw The Angel and watch the videos. He’s an artist in every sense of the word.

I have read this and as someone who simply loves books and has read plenty I cannot say how much I love it.
Nick Cave has excellent music talent and whilst his music (and this book) might be “dark” I cant get enough– perhaps I am just as described by people— “dark”– and NC suits me perfectly
    I love it!
