Angry Flyers Lounge-Tiger discovers customer service!

Angry Flyers have  won something Ryanair customers can only dream about. Tiger Airways is recruiting customer services officers–after listening to the uproar in our lounge.

At last, or at least very shortly, the airline will have real people on duty in Melbourne who can be reached by telephone, who will deal with double charging, flight cancellations  and the imposition of incorrect fees.

Tiger has also appointed Steve Burns as commercial director for Australia from its Singapore management team. Burns came to Tiger two years ago after ten years experience in two EU low cost carriers, easyJet and bmibaby (a play on words involving its owner bmi). His  role includes  network development, revenue management, marketing and customer service.

More about the changes at Tiger Australia will appear in the Crikey Daily Mail today in its Business coverage.

Ben, whereabouts do you want the Angry Flyers Lounge rants (I prefer “Peeved Passengers Parlour” as more alliterative, myself) sent? I poked around but couldn’t find a direct email for you.

Damn (slaps head) I should have said something from the start. And thought of PPP too. The best way is to go to the Crikey site (crikey.com.au) and hit the ‘Tip Crikey off’ link in the top left corner of the new site which is currently emerging from its ’soft’ launch. That way if I’m out of contact you’ll get a message saying I’m missing in action or whatever for a day or so and that I’ll be back on email ASAP.

Of course if loungers want to fire up a discussion about someone else’s experiences they are very welcome to do so in the comments section.

    Ben,

Your response to the question posed by CAF is off the mark.

Didn’t CAF ask where the discussion forum is located? That is also my question, because this site has no indication as to how to navigate to said objective.

Your response was to direct him/her to leave a message at the front desk, for them to forward it to you.

I am sure that CAF and I are not the only people seeking the Angry Fliers Lounge or PPP, whatever it may be called.

This new Crikey site resembles a swamp to me – very little light, few navigational aids and no idea what is around the corner.

Lots of detail, but poor delivery of actual product. Obscure. Bitsy. Junk.

And now, to add to that, we find that you can’t comprehand simple english sentences!

Have emerged from the ’swamp’ and put a contact point for Angry Flyers material under PAGES in the top right section of the display.
