Ryanair’s attempts to curb coverage and commentary by The Aviation Herald of what German aviation authorities are investigating as a serious incident involving its service to Memmingen on 23 September have failed.

The result is a clear victory for the on-line air safety incident reporting site, and has resulted in the Memmingen incident and Aviation Herald reaching a much larger audience through general media interest in Europe than would otherwise have been the case.
