The weekly Roy Morgan face-to-face poll is the first in three weeks that doesn’t put a six in front of Labor’s two-party preferred vote, which is down from 61 per cent to 57.5 per cent. Labor’s primary vote is down from 53.5 per cent to 49.4 per cent and the Coalition’s up from 35.5 per cent to 38 per cent. The poll was conducted on the weekend, so very recent political developments would not have been a factor.

    So it appears most of you think it will be called this weekend? Great, bring it on I say. I want to see Howard beg for another term. A few tears wouldnt go astray either. Makes me think his theme song will be “Do you really want to hurt me” by Culture Club. ;)

    BTW I have heard that the Liberals are finding it hard to attract volunteers to assist in Moreton. Shame that.

    LIKE most psychiatrists, I’m just an ordinary doctor who made a stupid career move. So I suffer.

    My latest hell is a flood of patients suffering from pre-election psychosis, or PEP. They all have this morbid fear of being lied to, a syndrome we call Tampaphobia. My waiting room is full of crazy people. Thank you, John Howard.
    This morning the cops dragged in a shattered nut-fudge who’d jumped up in a local cinema screaming: “Election! election!”, sparking a wild stampede for the exit. I tied him to a chair, loosened his tie and wallet, then drilled him in some crucial dos and don’ts. If you feel a PEP episode coming on, here’s my advice…

    BrissRod @ 804 -the Libs always have trouble finding volunteers. Last WA state election I worked on a booth and the LHMU staffed it for Labor with a minimum of eight people, for the whole day. At 11am the solo Lib packed up and went home, saying he had only been paid to hand out how-to-vote cards for two hours. PAID to hand out h-t-v? Unbelievable!
