Reflections on the Miracle of Democracy at Work in the Greatest Nation on Earth

ACNielsen: 57-43

Not sure where he heard this, but the more than reliable Possum Comitatus hears tomorrow’s ACNielsen will show 55-45.

UPDATE: Now the Channel Seven News tells us it’s 57-43. Either ACNielsen or Galaxy are going to look at bit silly come Sunday.

Does everyone really believe Rudd won’t live at Kirribilli, at least during New Years celebrations? If I were him, I’d use that house, after it’s been fumigated and cleared of Rodent poo.

So have I missed the meaningful rebutal of Galaxy and the explanation as to why Newspoll is better?

Pretty bizarre that they both spike dramatically in opposite directions at this stage?

    Needless-to-say Galaxy is wrong!

HH: Rudd is on the record saying his prime residence will be The Lodge. That doesn’t mean he won’t use Kirribilli, just after 11 1/2 years the PM will finally live where he/she is supposed to live.

Please do not rub your good fortune in. 12 years ago friends of ours had gone down your way. We had meant them through playgroup for our youngest son. They had bought a 10 Hec place and we visting them and heard about a 220 hec farm not far away that was just for sale. It would have been a stretch but now it would not in hindsight been that big a deal. Of course we would have to have brought our kids up in a Nat area. So who knows what would have been best.

Marko, it doesn’t harm to be polite and courteous to everyone! Everyone deserves it, although I have to confess that some do test one. I met up with my old adversary Piers Akerman at the Writers’ Festival at Byron and we were actually friendly to each other. He had said appalling things about me in his columns but then I reciprocated in Parliament. Amazing to shake his hand for the first time since the “Ship of Fools” trip to Tahiti opposing nuclear testing. I told him I loved his writing but didn’t agree with his views.

Sorry about that K Jin. I bought this place for next to nothing in 1988 and spent more on renovating it a couple of years ago than the whole place cost originally.
It used to be so cheap here. Most of my friends here couldn’t buy in now if they were trying to start from scratch, which is a pity. There are still bargains though just a little further back.

If you’ll forgive me one indulgent moment: this is enormously gratifying for for me since twas I who authored the GG moniker some months back on LP.

More pamphlets ala Kelly style and Costleoo has endorsed them.

“Senator Gary Humphries, was also under fire today for distributing a pamphlet linking Labor frontbencher Lindsay Tanner to radical Greens policy to decriminalise illegal drugs.”

Looks like Humphries has got the Exclusive Brethren and Family First to help him out, these tactics were used by both organisations in Tasmania and Victoria, wonder if we will see them driving around wearing pig masks.

Unfortunately Glen can never again vote for the Libs if Howard loses because he only votes for “experienced” politicians. There aren’t any in State Lib parties and in the Federal realm, after Howard and Costello leave the stage there won’t be any there either. Can’t vote for Learners.
