Not sure where he heard this, but the more than reliable Possum Comitatus hears tomorrow’s ACNielsen will show 55-45.
UPDATE: Now the Channel Seven News tells us it’s 57-43. Either ACNielsen or Galaxy are going to look at bit silly come Sunday.

Hopefully Rudd will only be your neighbour for another few nights, unless you plan to move to Canberra. hehe
The Sadvertiser will back the libs ,wankers I presume.
Does everyone really believe Rudd won’t live at Kirribilli, at least during New Years celebrations? If I were him, I’d use that house, after it’s been fumigated and cleared of Rodent poo.
So does this mean we have to be polite and courteous when talking about the GG?
Kjin. Hawthorn is a nice area. I know what neck of the woods your talking about.
what…no y. Wish I could bloody type.
I guess the GG likes Rudd’s IR policy after all!
So have I missed the meaningful rebutal of Galaxy and the explanation as to why Newspoll is better?
Pretty bizarre that they both spike dramatically in opposite directions at this stage?
Needless-to-say Galaxy is wrong!
Denis shanahan must be spewing
Did some mention that they had a leack about newspoll for tommorow morning?
So, how pissed are we going to get on Saturday night? Will anyone be sober by 11PM?
how about before 6pm well for me anyway lol?
HH that needs a new thread and a phone tree to wake some of us up to see the final results for the night!
Will anyone be sober by 8.30?
Shanahan must have been read the riot act by Rupert!
HH: Rudd is on the record saying his prime residence will be The Lodge. That doesn’t mean he won’t use Kirribilli, just after 11 1/2 years the PM will finally live where he/she is supposed to live.
HH – THe electoral line, for a section, runs up the Pacific Highway. One side of the road is Bradfield and the other is Berowra. Your compaining if being in Berowra. I wish i was still there.
HH I’ll be heading to the national tally room for a squiz. I’ll try and rig up a Pollbludger sign lol.
If the result goes bad, watch to see Kerry say: “I’ll just have to interrupt you Antony, it seems there is a madman loose on the tally room floor!”
J KIn/Aussie. Back again. Hawthorne is lovely. J Kin are you a city cat rider?
Richard Jones
Please do not rub your good fortune in. 12 years ago friends of ours had gone down your way. We had meant them through playgroup for our youngest son. They had bought a 10 Hec place and we visting them and heard about a 220 hec farm not far away that was just for sale. It would have been a stretch but now it would not in hindsight been that big a deal. Of course we would have to have brought our kids up in a Nat area. So who knows what would have been best.
Glen, you’re my favourite Howard supporter, and a great bloke too!
If Rudd wins, your mob will eventually get a few state governments back, especially N.S.W.
I think ill watch a bit of the 2004 coverage before bed tonight
Is the AC Nielsen primary 48 Labour 40 Coalition?
Marko, it doesn’t harm to be polite and courteous to everyone! Everyone deserves it, although I have to confess that some do test one. I met up with my old adversary Piers Akerman at the Writers’ Festival at Byron and we were actually friendly to each other. He had said appalling things about me in his columns but then I reciprocated in Parliament. Amazing to shake his hand for the first time since the “Ship of Fools” trip to Tahiti opposing nuclear testing. I told him I loved his writing but didn’t agree with his views.
Glen, you’ve got it on tape? Good for you mate, enjoy it. I don’t want to be reminded of Latham ever again.
One can only hope HH but if we tories are given the boot, nothing will be the same for the country and for the Liberal Party that i can say with the utmost certainty. Mind you the Party would of changed under Costello should we be victorious but a defeat will speed change up i believe.
Supposed Newspoll results: NSW: 54-46; QLD: 54-44; VIC: 52-48; SA: 55-45; WA: 52-48; Total 54-46.
Is WA 52 Lib 48 Lab?
So the story goes.
Agree HH about NSW. It’s only a matter of time, provided the Libs can keep the Uglies at bay.
Actually Turnbull would cruise in as Premier I reckon. He should think about it if he loses Wentworth.
William “L-54-46″ ?
Glen, I’d never count out the Liberals. Assuming you lose on Saturday, your side of politics will rebuild. Turnball is your best option for renewal. And yes, I think he’ll retain Wentworth, thanks to Newhouse!
Richard – Sound advice, thx.
Glen
May I just say, regardless of any result, you have been an extraordinary contributor, and indefatigable.
Kudos! & I’d buy you a drink if you’re ever if Sydney’s deep west!
Course the next NSW election is a while away. Which state is up next?
Sorry about that K Jin. I bought this place for next to nothing in 1988 and spent more on renovating it a couple of years ago than the whole place cost originally.
It used to be so cheap here. Most of my friends here couldn’t buy in now if they were trying to start from scratch, which is a pity. There are still bargains though just a little further back.
Gregbris. Thanks for your update on entry system if you are still here.
Q 54-44???
My guess is yes the GG has sniffed the wind, but also has been stung by the Government Gazette tag and is trying to restore credibility in one fell swoop.
If you’ll forgive me one indulgent moment: this is enormously gratifying for for me since twas I who authored the GG moniker some months back on LP.
And boy, did it take off! I believe its a meme now.
Take that, Culture Warriors*! Lefty E comin atcha!
*Or should I say, Culture War RSL?
More pamphlets ala Kelly style and Costleoo has endorsed them.
“Senator Gary Humphries, was also under fire today for distributing a pamphlet linking Labor frontbencher Lindsay Tanner to radical Greens policy to decriminalise illegal drugs.”

Looks like Humphries has got the Exclusive Brethren and Family First to help him out, these tactics were used by both organisations in Tasmania and Victoria, wonder if we will see them driving around wearing pig masks.
Glen, I think you need to get rid of Howard! He should have gone 12 months ago.
I feel like we need an “I survived Poll Bludger 07″ T-shirt.
(Course we haven’t survived all of it yet)
Oi William Bowe those are the figures that “toby” posted, theyre fake
I fear Sydney’s deep west shall be a dangerous place for a Tory such as I after the election but i thank you for your generosity Tess.
I don’t hold grudges against any of your Rudd Lovers the vast majority of you are good sorts i must think about all the sleep ive lost this year posting on Pollbludger no wonder i always have bags under my eyes in the morning lol.
And if Turnball lost Wentworth, I’d happily have him as member for Berowra.
I quite like the bloke actually!
Grog,
Will all our marriages survive it?
I’m lucky, married to a saint!
1143 – Grog
Tattoos! When we’re drunk on power Saturday night!!!
Unfortunately Glen can never again vote for the Libs if Howard loses because he only votes for “experienced” politicians. There aren’t any in State Lib parties and in the Federal realm, after Howard and Costello leave the stage there won’t be any there either. Can’t vote for Learners.
Glen, I’d be happy to buy you a drink too and you Edward St John and anyone on this blog. It’s been great fun.
Anyway I’m off to bed to read Satish Kumar’s memoirs.
Jordan – How do you know?
