Reflections on the Miracle of Democracy at Work in the Greatest Nation on Earth

Newspoll: 52-48

Sky News reports tomorrow’s Newspoll at 52-48. The Australian reports a sample size of 2614, but no primary votes. Normally you wouldn’t doubt the result with four polls telling you 52-48, 52-48, 54.5-45.5 and 57-43, but surely there’s some significance to the fact that the two closest polls of the year have come in the day before polling day.

This is one of the worst Latelines ever. No real analysis. Just propaganda, especially from Kroger.

Oh man, just had a massive argument with my folks (Business owning coalition supporters) – Quote of the argument – You wouldn’t remember how bad it was back then under labor, your too young. Infuriating. They’re great parents, but they come from the group of people who would gladly be responsible for Liberals being in power until the heat death of the universe if they had there way.

I was confident it would be 88 seats at one stage, but the Galaxy/News Limited polls have spooked me.

Kroger’s saying it’s 3 now onthe basis of his theory that it was 4 when these polls were taken, and it will have narrowed a bit more since.

Kroger didn’t address one point raised by Carr – he was simply spruiking pure, non-factual, Coalition tripe – and when Carr said something that challenged him, Kroger simply personally insulted Carr. What a goose.

There are some Liberal people I disagree with, but I don’t actually hate them.

Kroger, now, I’ve decided that I loathe him.

Got to disagree. ALL Ackerman thinks about is the Heiner affair.

I think Andrew Bolt is a much more entertaining / credible conservative commentator. Particularly during this campaign.

I am in QLD so cannot yet c Lateline(Whole election I have had a prophets foresight because of Poll bludger) but I am sure a lot of people who talk even in LOL or big words would not watch Lateline on a friday night. Indeed to my credit I thought it finished up on a Thursday each week, like the 7.30 report until this blog. I will be watching though. I will switch over from sky’s Key seats channel that is like background lift music.

    Yes LTEP there is.

Labor ramped up medium to heavy density living and didnt spend 5c on trains as a result people cram into underfunded trains whose aircon breaks down and occassionally break down themselves at peak hour.

I’ve met Bolt. I’d rather listen to Kroger.

But which does remind me of a conversation I has many years ago with a Hansonite taxi driver, who, on failing to persuade me of her fine politics, sais ‘But you’ve got to admit she’s a good looking woman’, to which I could only answer: ‘I’d vote for her before I’d fck her’.

Yep folks that it, you heard it here first. And when in decades to come your son or daughter is sitting on a train, with 60 degrees temperatures outside (because global warming WAS actually happening, doh!), illiterate and dying of a disease they can’t afford to pay for, AT LEAST they’ll get to the mortuary on time for their own death. Trains running on time… now I’ve heard it all
