Perhaps the last Qld election like the last in NSW would have been a good one to lose. The LNP will have completed its evolution to a rebadged Liberal party by the next election and this will weaken Labor’s position further. Long term govts (in the absense of hopeless oppositions) need to give people a reason to vote for them and Qld labor will struggle to make a convincing case by the next election

Three years out, anything can happen. It must be said though this will have been a very long term government by the next election and will be facing an uphill battle anyway, let’s be honest.

It makes a lot of sense for a government to sell assets so they can build more. If the assets a profitable the government gets a take anyway.
