I too have fallen victim to the great Internode email catastrophe – so anyone that tried to mail me from yesterday afternoon onwards on my Node mail addresses, I haven’t seen it for I still can’t access my mail accounts. The Yahoo address might be best for communications over the weekend.
The polling fairy must have gone on a bit of a bender with the latest Adelaide Advertiser effort on South Australian politics. They used a sample of 365 voters, meaning it’s not worth anyone’s serious attention except social science students looking for an example of exactly what not to do.
Morgan released a poll yesterday of the Face to Face variety, rounding out the last of the Nelson Era polls. The primary votes ran 45/38 Labor’s way feeding into a two party preferred estimate of 55.5/44.5. This changes our Thursday Pollytrack score which we’ll look at tomorrow as well as the beauty of Loess Regressions in polling analysis. Nerdy Sunday!

Who was Nelson?
GG
Short dude, wore a big hat
Famous for splitting his ships into more or less equal parts and then lining them up against each other and saying fire! (His decision to announce beforehand, that if he lived, he would “deal with” any of the guys that “did him wrong” without specifying who they might be) was considered in hindsight, somewhat of a mis-step
Rumors persist he may have been a Doctor
Was that stunt with the bakebeans and catfood the “Nelson touche”?
