He could also mention the percieved authenticity by the fact that the author used genuine english words and syntax. Or that GM food is a genuinely hotly debated topic. So clearly, the article is in fact genuine and purporting it to be a hoax is in fact a scheme of the pinko left to discredit the intelluctual bohemoths who edit and publish Quadrant, as well as stifling debate on where else we ought to insert human genes.
