Snark Bitchiness: Pure Poison

OK sportsfans, are you bemused by Andrew Bolt becoming ever more unhinged lately? Do you find yourself wondering what the hell Tim Blair is actually talking about these days? Are you concerned that Planet Janet is having trouble maintaining her orbit?

Do you reckon that far too many MSM columnists in this country talk complete and utter bullshit?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, there is definitely a site for you.

Today brings a new edition to the Crikey blogs – Pure Poison

Sure it might be run by some of the biggest hobo’s on the Australian intertubes, but now they’re Crikey hobbo’s – so they dress better, don’t smell so bad and have 25% extra snark.

Not only is it a good bit of fun, but there is a serious point to it all – so do yourself a favour and check it out.

Thanks, Possum. We might go easy on you for a bit in exchange for this nice post.

Are there any charts comparing MSM readers (printed edition) with voting preferences? With so many publishers losing their market, the strident columnists would be their way of shoring up their papers – preaching to the converted? Probably the same Rush Limbraugh syndrome is applicable to those phone-in radio talk shows.

I’ve never seen any data on voting intention by media consumption. Roy Morgan might have the data somewhere on the cross-tabs as they do semi-regular media consumption surveys. Nielsen would also probably have it with their “Your Voice” panel – but I’ve never actually seen it released.

Good to see Crikey becoming the centre of the Australian blogging universe. Better than the brown-shirted rubbish so prevalent in the “mainstream”.
