Crikey has a new dedicated Qld Election Blog that will be hosting the musings of myself, William Bowe and Mark Bahnisch over the next 4 weeks or so as we follow the campaign – bringing together the combined mental energy of The PollBludger, Pollytics and Larvatus Prodeo.
It’s a bit of an experiment to see how a short lived ‘event based’ blog works in these topsy turvey media times.
Over that period, Pollytics will still run as it usually does – in fact there will probably be slightly more postings than usual – and the numerical and nerdy work for Qld will still be posted here, but the Qld Election specific commentary and analysis won’t be clogging up this place, it will instead be over at the new election blog.
So come on over, it even has First Dog on the Moon artwork!
Will the Borg make inroads into the South East and suburban Brisbane? Will there be a member of Labor left on election day that hasn’t been sued by Clive Palmer? Can three enormous egos co-exist on the same blog without it tearing apart the very fabric of spacetime?
All these questions and more will be answered over at Pineapple Party Time (good grief – who comes up with these names!

Did you toy with Pineapple Poll as well? Much of the current ambience in the Queensland political landscape does seem to feature the G&S touch.
Those of us who dislike Crikey and all its works will not be participating.
