Politics, elections and piffle plinking

Qld Election Update.

It’s been a bit of a sparse week for federal election data – but fear not, the Qld Election has produced enough action to keep one busy.

I was hoping to do far more than I’ve done here at Pollytics this week, but the Qld election blog has taken more time than I though it would – so rather than more stuff being put here as I thought the other day would be possible, there will probably be a bit less until March 21st when the Qld election has finished. All the polling data will still get updated and run through, but probably not much else unless something jumps out.

If you haven’t been following Crikey’s Qld Election blog, this is what you’ve missed on the polling and numbers side.

The latest Galaxy results and breakdown.

The unusual results on the health issue in the poll.

Comparisons to the WA election in terms of early campaign polling.

Win expectations and how each party fairs in terms of deserving to win with the polling data.

Unexpected results in the implied probabilities of polling and betting market data.

Plus much more on the non-polling side, and that’s just since yesterday. It’s quite the blog, and if you aren’t reading it, you ought to be standing in Julie Bishops naughty corner.
