Yes, the post is blank.

And unfortunately, despite what happened today in Parliament, it will probably remain this way.

Because they’re not going to apologise for printing a fake email and stirring up so much trouble, I assume you mean? That’s a bit obtuse :P

Sure is when you’re at work and can’t watch what’s going down in Parliament :(
I don’t know whether to hope the story about the email being linked to Turnbull’s office is true, or hope it isn’t..

Turnbull needs to resign, and so do the News Ltd journalists involved.

BTW, great day in Parliament. Very exciting.

The Howard govt slashed a vein and for a decade News Ltd’s integrity had been slowly bleeding away down the Liberal Party gutter. Now they are in that jerking stage, with strangled looks, gasping. Then the transformation will be complete and they could call themselves Fox News.

I dunno. The bit on ‘The Punch’ throwing Turnbull’s aide to the wolves (”We’re not saying he’s committed any crime like forgery or nuffink”) would appear to be proof they’re hardly Liberal partisans.

But the fact they’re happy to play both ’sides’ of the truth off against each other isn’t very flash. Not quite the dispassionate work journos once did in Qld to bring down Bjelke Petersen’s regime.

I would hazard a guess that offering the sacrificial lamb from Turnbull”s office is a crazed attempt to retrieve a shred of journalistic integrity to what is a seriously compromised rag. They generally get away with much of their twaddle as their readers are equally ready to consume the rot that they convey, however, on this occasion they have really f*cked up and it’s all hands to the buckets!

Quite proper of you not to comment Possum, since it’s all now, you know, sub judice!

Don’t you love ‘em? Howling like monkeys that they’ve ‘got evidence’ and then clam up with pseudo legal excuses the moment it’s revealed they haven’t.

I thought the mea culpa might be for the endless attempts today to spin the parliamentary debate the way of the opposition. The fact they focused for any amount of time on that ludicrous speech from Joe Hockey lays it all bare. His was easily the most stupid speech of all.

They’ve still got an article up saying “the email was found, Rudd’s a liar” – omitting that it’s a forgery!

This is beginning to remind me of Gordon Ramsay & Tracey Grimshaw. I think in both cases News Corp is throwing mud & lies around in order to get conflict and a story. It would not suprise me if what we have heard in 90% BS.

Banana – got a link for that please.

News Ltd had a big week last week. They kicked by kicking Tim Cahill and then kicked an old goal on this…

I think News Ltd will admit their role and error about the same time as Turnbull sells his mansion and gives all the money to the Salvation Army.

Turnbull tries to cast aspersions on Rudd’s honesty by using an email now determined by the AFP to be false and now the AFP are presumably investigating the source of that email with close attention being paid to Turnbull’s office and coaliton staffers.
    Oh the irony.
