Just another Crikey Blogs weblog

More false allegations from rattled News Ltd. blogger

Just to set the record absolutely straight, Pure Poison is in no way responsible for a supposed attack on Andrew Bolt’s blog by identity-stealing insurgents, for which Bolt points his finger squarely at us.

Dear readers,

I have just deleted from this thread a comment from a reader saying he wished he’d “assassinated” Bob Brown to save lives. It is a disgusting comment that would be repudiated by every regular reader of this blog..

But remember my warning on Saturday that suddenly some people were writing in under fake names, trying to put up vile comments under the pretence that they were my supporters? I’ve since been informed that this may have something to do with a publication of Mr Eric Beecher, the well-known crusader for “quality journalism”.

Whatever. And anyway, Andrew does enough to “steal the reputation” of his own blog without us having to plant bogus comments. Just today (in the same post) he explicitly blames “greens” for making the Black Saturday bushfires worse because of plantation forest carbon offset schemes. I mean, how dare people plant trees?

(Also, how about linking to Pure Poison, Bolta, so that your readers can make up their own minds?)

If Andrew is so disgusted by the comments he has had to delete, why rehash them in his own article?

“I’ve since been informed” – by whom? The sock puppet on his hand? Tim Blair? Apparently his readers don’t need any evidence beyond the word of Bolt – and nor does Andrew himself.

And interesting that after blocking that “disgusting comment that would be repudiated by every regular reader of this blog”, this one gets through no worries:

I don’t think I’d want to assasinate Bob Brown… but I’d probably want to give careful consideration to the idea of chaining him to an old growth tree during February… considering all the sh1t ideas the moron has – surely they would ward off any chance of a bush fire. … Or maybe he would be better used as mulch for my rose garden…. hmmmm…

Are you really prepared for the angry mob that may surge through the gate?
No doubt it would make for some fine reading.
Do you think they’re already lurking?

“he explicitly blames “greens” for making the Black Saturday bushfires worse ”

The last week has been a showcase in Andrew’s reflexive hatred of environmentalists.
I knew that people kinda mock greenies at times but I never realised that there is a cultish stream of sasquatches who blame them for plotting the downfall of man.
He gets more excited about the childeating envirotroopers & their cruel plans to protect his homeworld than he does about smiting teh Terrorists.

Further to Toby’s observation, I’d noted a similar thing in the below post:

Greens add fuel to the fires. Literally

I only wish they would. Literally, by throwing themselves on the pyre. Problem is – s#!t doesn’t burn… Arf Arf…

So is ‘Macca’ a plant, or is this an acceptable posting standard? If he is a plant he seems to be growing quite prolifically, as I have now seen him on a number of threads.

Or how about this little gem?

Greens have shown their contempt for their fellow humans time and time again
The majority are nothing more than dole bludgers, whinging little pissants or pyscopathic communists
They are like obnoxious weeds, they keep springing up all over the place no matter how much weed killer you use on em

    The sole response?

Dunno, gibbon. You do a pretty good impersonation of dense.

As for the subject raised by Macca and Ironman:
You can’t put greenies on the fire, they’re too green to burn.

I’m shattered. How does one counter such devastating repartee? I’m sure the tears will pass in time, but the scars will remain.

Strangely, there was no bite at all when I cited the same article Bolt himself had referenced as proof of the murderous recklessness of the Greens:

i]The Australian Government also likes the idea of planting trees, announcing tax breaks for forests planted for carbon sequestration this week. According to the Australian Government, carbon sink forests are a “key element in addressing climate change.” (Turnbull, 12 September 2007)[/i

Please forgive the lack of links. I still code like a conservative.

he’s lost the plot, and is suffering paranoid delusions. as I said on the other thread what is more than likely the case is his extremist blame-a-greenie accusations over the bushfires has appealed to even more extremist wingnuts than already inhabit his blog. instead of ranting about fake names he should own up to the appalling truth that he and he alone is responsible for inciting the hatred on his blog that he now claims to condem. and as TZ shows, there are different degrees of hatred. andy really only has himself to blame.

“Are you really prepared for the angry mob that may surge through the gate?”

it’s happened many a time on the old site, they make their point (sometimes coherently), are mostly ignored by regular commenters and life continues as normal. what is clearly putting them off at this site is that you have to register to comment – for all the RWDB blog attacks on this new site there has been very little comments from them here.

When the claims of planted comments first came up, Bolt’s commenters were hypothesising that the same pernicious souls might be responsible for News.com.au’s completely broken commenting system. This is fast becoming a corollary to Blair’s Law – the process by which all the threats created in the imaginations of conservative loons are becoming one giant, pathetic conspiracy theory.

Yes, it’s not only Bolt that is the nutter over there. There really are some scary people on that blog. I note the NYP Obama monkey cartoon has popped up again. Bolt must really like that cartoon.

And then to have to read the halfwits defend Bolt and the cartoon, claiming it’s got nothing to do with Obama….

It doesn’t seem to occur to them that the more extreme they become, the more irrelevant they become. Anyway, that’s their problem.

Bolt is a demagogue for whom self-belief in his rectitude is paramount. If you disagree with him, you are WRONG and therefore one of the subhumans that have taken over society by stealth.
It would be laughable were it not for the fact that this continuous stream of bile actually does create anger in his followers; it will only be a matter of time until one or more of them resorts to violence. I believe this ‘fake Boltfans’ ploy is actually his attempt to shuck the blame for what will eventually occur, similar to his panicky rebuttal of the invasion of John Brumby’s farm by pipeline protesters, some of whom made plain their admiration of him. He’s playing a very dangerous game….

Bolt’s moderators know when someone on their blacklist tries to post under an alias from the same computer: many times I have read them crowing about recognising the IP addresses. This makes the current furore even more suspicious of Bolt trickery rather than Bolt’s usual enemies attempting to subvert him with their evil plans for world domination. Either that, or he’s garnered a whole new tribe of slack-jawed knuckle-draggers….

I have have seen him (AB) on Insiders and he is obviously reciting from a sheet he does not quite believe in. When confronted with incontrovertable evidence that his self scepticism on AGW is incorrect, he resorts to saying I am not a scientist. Thus absolving him of any need for a cogent reply. It is the same with this outpouring of (nope. JG) diatribe on his blog. The fact that his so called leftiod enemies do not bother with such inanities escapes his readers. I very much doubt if it not absolutely clear to Andrew. One only has to look at the methods FOX news uses, and you wil see a very similar MO. Their job is to influence the so called silent majority. They use tried and true tactics. Use emotive influences rather than reason. They do not even realize they have lost for the time being. Like all zealots they will squeek until they win. Unfortunately reason is not one of humanities strong suites. And this is what they rely on for the dissemination of half truths and innuendo. bert

How delicious to see those whose entire raison d’etre is their obsession with blogs of those popular and widely read mainstream bloggers they purport to hate with every fibre of their being, reduced to abjectly begging for a link from them.

    Sad, but funny. :-)
