Yesterday Greg Sheridan ranted about the Left and their ’silence’ over Iran.
He “named names” (see Seinfeld) and one of those named was Antony Loewenstein.
Yet, as Antony pointed out today in a letter printed in The Australian (gee, wasn’t that nice of them), Antony often castigates Iran (and Cuba too).
Just go to his blog, Greg… you could have seen that in a second!!!!
Problem is Sheridan gets a full opinion piece to spout off his dribble, and Antony gets a piddly letter in response.
It reminds me of Al Franken’s piece titled “HANNITY and colmes”… ‘Fair and balanced’!!
Chris mitchell takes a shot at crikey which he calls a “parasitical publication” that doesn’t break stories, is edited by OMG!!1! a former Age journalist, and unlike the Australian isn’t staffed by professionals committed to “reporting facts.” I haven’t laughed so hard in ages! If i remember correctly it was Crikey that broke news of grech as Howard’s go-to man, while news ltd outlets like the Australian were still hand-wringing over being sucked in to beating up a forged email in the hope of nailing Rudd. Reporting facts, my arse!
I especially love the bit about how crikey “escapes the scrutiny of the Press Council”. As if that means anything.
