Intellectual dishonesty is pure poison – A Crikey weblog

So humble.

Andrew Bolt is too humble to openly promote an article he wrote. Instead he highlights an article in the same magazine that he obviously agrees with:

John Styles examines the very curious notion that the ABC’s Lateline has of “balance”.

Pity that the article that he links to is all about Q&A.

Does Andrew know the difference between Lateline and Q&A? Does it matter? Oh and as well as the article that Andrew wrote, and the one that he agrees with, there’s a nice one that mentions him too. Off you go to the newsagent then, don’t let this issue sit there unloved.

Update: The reference to Lateline at Bolt’s blog has been replaced by Q&A, which would make this whole post seem quite silly, if not for the screenshot I grabbed earlier.

What happened, Dave? You used to be such a nice young chap, albeit estranged from grooming devices. Now all I detect is a current of disgust and cynicism in your posts regarding certain adored and selfless media commentators who are heartlessly shunned by certain unnamed national broadcasters who host them every other week.

    Shame on you.

I note with much relief that, very much like the cane toad, the esteemed Mr B has oozed over the border to finally become a weekly columnist with the Daily Telegraph. As of yesterday (or maybe the day before – I’m shamed to admit I paid so little attention), his highness is now a regular columnist devoted to solving the innumerable problems with NSW as well. Fortunately they’re all Labor’s fault I’m sure, so all he really has to do is familiarise himself with is a few landmarks and us cockroaches will draw him to our collective wisdom-impoverished breast.

I’d hate to think the article you mention would be calculated to aid St Andrew’s transition from regional pariah to national spokesman for calculator groupies. That is simply not within his selfless and impartial nature.

Cynicism? Surely not, Andrew is a selfless tireless soul who thinks only of others, never himself. And that’s a very good point about St Andrew, Gibbot. It reminds me of the advice I give those neo-cons. Don’t go to see a doctor if you’re sick. Doctors are intellectuals (they all have those horrible uni degrees), intellectuals are all lefties and lefties are all evil. I’m sure Andrew Bolt can fix your problems for you. He knows better than they do – and he doesn’t even have a tertiary degree!

Bolt is in the Tele? yeh sounds like the platform for his kind of rabid poison. The tele is the lowest of the low.

Ah, so THAT’S why the rodent government sent funding of higher education into reverse! It was churning out too many non-Coalition supporters.

Actually, that’s not bad from a guy who links to himself to show he’s right on [insert subject here].

    “So humble.”

    I think it’s spelled “‘umble”
