Here at Pure Poison we have always striven to provide a forum for meaningful discussion on the state of the Australian media, its personalities and the subjects that they cover. As a part of this we make a great deal of effort to interact with the commenters who come here and engage in the discussions, as we believe that the community who support the site bring varied and interesting perspectives. That being said, every blogger takes the time to look around the blogosphere to identify new ideas or trends that may improve their own site, and as such I’d like to share with you a new comment policy that I plan to trial.
There will be no changes to the way that comments are moderated, however when it comes to responding to them I’m planning to follow Piers Akerman’s excellent innovation from earlier today. Here’s an example of what I mean.

So, for the entirety of this thread I plan to copy and past the same response to any comment that I feel warrants a reply. I may personalise my comment occasionally, but I can’t be bothered individualising my responses beyond that. So comment on whatever you like, I don’t really mind if comments in this thread are completely off topic, you’ll be getting a canned response either way.

Joel B1@44,
Why are you blaming the MP for the grocery watch scheme after they dumped it? Surely Choice (which last time I looked was a private company) should be the one you are railing against?

Why do you think lefties are to blame when it is market forces that determine pricing (Coles adjust prices depending on the competition). Surely you should be blaming the free marketers for this travesty?
And what is it with But let’s face it you lefties don’t give a shit. It’s all latte sipping heaven for you ? Have you been using the Iain Hall methodology of pigeonholing people?
I also wonder why are you going around looking at prices during working hours? Are you a closet lefty living on government hand-outs that believe that the world owe them a living?
Joel B1@44
Your ideas are interesting to me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
I shall write my congressman.
Clearly you jobless Leftards have lots of time to sit around each day individually crafting responses to blog comments, but those of us with jobs and responsibilities have to introduce small efficiencies into our work practices.

Get back to your WorkChoices, JoelB1, before they find you’re slacking off and dismiss you on the spot.
….you halfwits.
Ackerman replied to a blogger named (What Fri July 31 09) in his article on Peter Gray.
Ackerman stated in his reply to What, “The Passport was removed by Labor” In his recent article he saya ” Howard’s Liberal Govt. revoked his passport” And Ackerman is claiming certain bloggers don’t understand his article? I’ll make a Laymans interpretation, Ackerman is Using the unfortunate circumstances of Peter Gray to attack Rudd & Labor & cares absolutely zero about Gray or his circumstances. Ackerman was extremely silent on this matter for over 2 years when this incident occured in 2005 when the Liberal govt. was in power. Nuff said
