Australia’s one day cricket team yesterday won a game. That means they can still win the Chappell-Hadlee series, despite losing the first two games to New Zealand.
A single ODI win against a country that Australia traditionally dominates, on its own, isn’t a great deal to get excited about. However, at Sabina Park , England were dismissed for 51 in their second innings against the West Indies, resulting in an innings and 23 run defeat against the West Indies. It is England’s third lowest total in a Test match ever.
Australia’s national team might be the weakest it has been, relative to it’s competitors, for about two decades, but as long as England is still a lot worse, it somehow feels like everything is ok in the cricket world.
