OK, it’s time to get serious.
The Crikey Cup, Crikey’s Supercoach league, will kick off with the commencement of tonight’s game between Richmond and Carlton. Make sure you get your teams in by 7pm as the Supercoach site may crash at some point today with everyone trying to get their teams in once the AFL releases the official team lists at 5pm AEDST today.

The winner of this league will (if First Dog on the Moon doesn’t win, which I’m pretty sure he won’t) recieve either:
- a personalised footy themed First Dog on the Moon cartoon — you get to liase with First Dog.
- Or, you can take First Dog out to dinner. (I’d go with option 1).
If First Dog wins he wants all of us to take him out to dinner, but as I said I’m pretty sure he won’t win so it will be cool.

Alright, I’ve updated the original post and the league has been filled with wonderful Crikey loving people (plus First Dog).
The season proper is till a while away but you can start watching how players perform throughout the NAB Cup.

Indeed, Leigh, I’d make sure I’ve got some sort of valid team in before 5 pm, let alone 7. Even now the server is apparently labouring very heavily indeed.

I left it too late to adjust my team. I couldn’t access the site from 4 or 5 hours before the first bounce. I have a valid team, but was left with 900k in the bank that i was planning to make changes with.
I will still win this competition obviously, but i might have a slowish start to the season.
