First Dog, not many doganuts seen sniffing round posts yet aye. Pack of them fighting something fierce up road. It’s like in Frame 1 (wagging tail).

Cyril indicated in frame 3 is Luckiest Aussie of the Day having ball handed to him no scrum no contest by Tom the unbully I did imagine a platter.

Nice dog. (Amazing my son said the swear words about Telstra ‘Telstra is crap’ & I never imagined anybody heard, FD.)

Firstdog, thanks to you I am an office legend. I know nothing, less than nothing, about footy, but last week in the office tipping comp I followed your tips almost to the letter (I ignored one because I’m like that) and I scored 7!! The only one out of about 150 in the comp!! 40 bucks thankyouverymuch!!!

Now people think I’m a legend.

Should I admit that I have never attended, or even watched an entire game of AFL (yes, that includes grand finals), and that I steal my tips from crikey, or just bask in the glory?

Bask in the glory! “A legend and not a loser be”. I think that’s a biblical quote. Enjoy the envy of the other girls and the street cred from the guys. When it comes to footy tipping, honesty is never the best policy. After all, it’s what people think of you that’s important in life, not what you’re really like!

    Excellent advice, thank you.

One small problem, I now discover Firstdog is on leave this week. How am I going to know who to tip?

Dear First Dog, hope you are enjoying your holiday, and I take this opportunity to thank you for doing the Bulldogs Round 3 cartoon before you took off.

We all love you. And Barry. Barry is a legend.

Anyone else find it humorous that FD made today’s “from the vault” cartoon back in 2008, before STEELE Sidebottom arrived in the AFL?

I hope there will be a follow up cartoon with the Chinese requesting more steel again… and Collingwood player Steele Sidebottom as well.

While on the subject, you can vote for Steele in the annual Name of the Year awards here: http://nameoftheyear.blogspot.com/2010/04/2010-noty-dragonwagon-regional-part-2.html

I can’t imagine what possessed FD to go running off on holiday.

SPELLING MISTAKE ‘dogonauts’ is not spelled like that. The ‘a’ got missed out. I don’t know who to contact about that. I’m sorry. That looks bad.

FD: Much as I love you I shall not linger longer at this folly called FOOTY-shiver, shudder, no sir that’s my mudder; blam, bam just call me ma’am; and anything else I can bloody well do to get out of this vile ambience!
