Make the refugees’ homelands livable by making sure that ALL foreign aid and any other aid is properly spent and not feasted on by all the parasites in between source and destination.
It has been reported that approximately 20c in the dollar actually hits the ground. Knowing this makes it quite clear why in over 40 years people in third world countries still don’t have clean drinking water, for one.
Get rid of the parasites and corruption so that our aid does make a difference. And make these countries accountable for their aid money to make sure that it isn’t being siphoned off into numbered bank accounts or being spent on armaments while their people starve.
