Prime Ministerial strokes…

If Mark Latham is planning to lodge a multimillion dollar lawsuit against the Australian government after the trauma of being “stroked down the front” by the Prime Minister, he hasn’t said so.

But I am waiting to see which prominent Australian male (or female, of course) will emunlate Allanah Hill by telling the ALP campaign launch that Julia can touch him/her up anytime.

Allanah Hill has pronouced herself “gutted” for saying that she wished that she’d been the victim of sexual harrassment at the hands of the DJ’s CEO, and apologised very publically by holding a fundraising sale for the White Ribbon foundation (which is the very least she could do). I’m somehow not thinking that sexual politics has changed so much that a famous male would feel the need to apologise for wishing that Gillard had run a “condescending” stroke down his front instead of Latham’s.

Oh dear. Bad visual place. I’m done.

    Abbott backs ‘racist, homophobic’ candidate

OPPOSITION Leader Tony Abbott has backed a Liberal candidate in hot water over perceived racist, sexist and homophobic comments made more than a decade ago.

George Christensen, who is trying his luck in the marginal Queensland seat of Dawson for the coalition, is under scrutiny over a university magazine he edited in 1998.

In it, one article expresses concern over a new version of the Bible that “removed accusations that the Jews killed Christ”.

An editorial piece written by the former journalism student also said that “women are bloody stupid” and reproduced a joke about a gay man dying of AIDS, Fairfax reports.

Mr Christensen has since apologised, saying the comments were made in jest.

Mr Abbott backed his candidate today, dismissing the remarks as “colourful stuff”.

It’s to be feared that there will be more “colourful stuff” to come, if he gets elected.

The Prime Minister was in fact fending Mark Latham off who should never have been allowed to be so close in such an aggressive manner – more aggressive than he was with Tony Abbott. The Prime Minister handled the situation very well. She stayed in cotrol despite the lack of security. That Mark Latham decided to interpret in a sexual manner says a lot more about him than her.

While women have come a long way it seems that there are still men who believe in bullying women – that is what makes Julia Gillard as our Prime Minister unique – not only is she smart, she is incredibly gutsy as well. She wasn’t given the leadership because she was a shrinking violet.

On the subject of men behaving badly, the graphics and the body language of Tony Abbott during the Great Debate is quite insulting to all women. The 7PM Project highlighted this unsavoury aspect earlier this week.

Mark Latham raised the question in relation to what happened to Pauline Hanson after Abbott’s sneaky work in the noughties. Tony Abbott is unable to look the electorate in the eye and is always looking down as he speaks.

He is afraid of another debate which will expose the policy gap between himself and Julia Gillard. His stupid remarks about the broadband, do show that hewishes to return us to another time and stop important progress into a technological future where people are equal. Julia Gillard acts like a Prime Minister while the men mentioned above are behaving very badly.

What is it with the Lathamater? The bulging eyes, the thrusting jaw, the completely out of left-field questions… An entire generation of kiddies having nightmares of the “Latham will get me” ilk.
