McCain hits the front

McCain has been gaining momentum in the last few weeks (perhaps because national security has been to the fore with Russia invading Georgia) and realclearpolitics now has him winning a majority of electoral college votes after toss-up states and pollster.com, always more bullish for Obama, has the gap closing. Of course, there is still two and a half months to go and the forthcoming conventions, VP announcements and candidate debates will all have their part to play. Nevertheless, the McCain camp must be feeling a lot more positive.
