Lindsay talks up Government 2.0, plans online public consultation

I missed this in the great excitement of the US election yesterday, luckily Net Traveller picked it up:
In May 2008 the Minister for Finance and Deregulation, Lindsay Tanner, talked about applying Web 2.0 to government processes in a “Keynote Address to the e-Government Forum“. He is more recently reported to have said the government would trial online public consultation through web 2.0 technology (”Tanner eyes web 2.0 tools”, Karen Dearne, The Australian, November 04, 2008).

Oracle Australia also commented on Tanner’s plans.
