Trevor Cook on public relations, social media and politics

The world is no longer safe for political junketeers

This is a sensational story. I can’t wait to see some Australian bar staff doing this. Now, what if, the bar guy at Iguana’s had been a blogger?

There’s a lot of buzz here in the Belgian blogosphere and mainstream media about an incident involving a New York-based blogger, who was fired from her job as a bartender after publishing a post on the bar visit of a Belgian politician.

    What’s wrong with those Belgians?

If a prominent Australian politician went on a junket to New York, got drunk, went to a strip joint and couldn’t remember a thing the next day and word got out, he just might end up Prime Minister of this country.

In fact, nowadays, Australian politicians would probalby bring their own blogger with them to ensure some publicity got out.

    Those Belgians are pantywaists.
