Slumdog controversy (spoiler warning)

Slumdog Millionaire is a raging hit, and it’s a ‘controversy‘ (which is great for revenues) I think this popularity has a lot to do with its ‘exotic’ Mumbai locations. It might also have something to do with it’s contrived, feel-good plot where the good guy wins and (in the end) gets the girl. Trying to read political and cultural analyses into i is a bit absurd. It is a piece of filmic fluff and it is fun. That’s all.  Go and enjoy it for what it is.
