As a child, Daniel Golding travelled the world with his head down, ignoring the passing sights while endlessly trying to beat the evil Tatanga in Super Mario Land on his Game Boy.

Since then, he started taking videogames (and the sights of the world) a little more seriously, and is currently writing a Ph.D. thesis on videogames in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. Daniel also tutors and lectures in the fields of cinema, culture, videogames and digital media.

His writing has also been found in Hyper Magazine, PC PowerPlay, The Conversation, and Kill Your Darlings.
