It is getting harder to like airports. Leaping out of a logistics blog in the UAE was an item about that problem from Tom Ronell, who manages an investment portfolio that also includes a luxury private jet arm that ensures that royalty, celebrities, and camera shy government and business figures can do business in Africa, central Asia, Russia and the Middle East without setting foot or face in a public terminal. Which the story doesn’t mention. Nothing appears in the LOG blog without a very good reason. Dubai is where many, some say too many, of the best and brightest from the airline and freight logistics games go to live, so when someone like Ronell gets published in it this very well connected on-line bulletin, every word, and the space between the every line, gets read very carefully.
