Qantas CEO Alan Joyce and Jetstar Group CEO Bruce Buchanan, have called a telephone conference for 9.30 am eastern daylight time.
It is the first full day of the Qantas retreat from London through the cancellation of its services via Hong Kong and Bangkok. But it is also less than a month before Qantas makes a biofuel flight using Australian made alternative aviation fuel, which is a major positive for the airline and the environment.
Whether either of these developments, or Qantas joining the A380 wing crack compensation quest, or something entirely different is the subject of this morning’s conference, which was notified at 7.06 am, is unknown.
But we can be reasonably confident that it will not be suddenly grounding the entire airline.
