In another update on its investigation into the Asiana 777 crash at SFO on Sunday, the NTSB chair Deborah Hersman has cautioned the media to ‘be very cautious about speculating on the cause of the crash.’

Hersman said the agency has released a great deal of factual information about the crash, which ‘will not change’.

However she said “We will not determine the probable cause of the crash while on site.”

The NTSB has now interviewed most of the Asiana crew, pilots and cabin attendants, who were among the 307 people on board the 777-200ER which crashed on landing at San Francisco in perfectly clear conditions on Sunday Australian time.  Two passengers were killed in the crash, and there are dozens of seriously injured passengers in various hospitals in the bay area.
