Pure Poison IconThis is a front page story at ABC News online right now:

I’m embarrassed for them.

They do realise they don’t have to repeat every bit of drivel they find on the wires, right?

Hey, wow. The Drum is being run at 6PM on ABC1, starting tomorrow.

I’m pleased with that. I think it’s one of the better panel shows – the only one I’ve seen on australian TV that emulates the sensibleness and informativeness of Washington Week form the PBS. And it leaves out the aggro of insiders, QA and (god help us all) The Bole Repore.

I hope it does well. As a news show, I think it deserves a go with that level of prominence.

    OMG!
    That’s my cousin, Pedro!!

    Happy New Year to all.

I disagree Cuppa. Warlocks have been largely silenced and marginalised by the MSM compared with other members of the crackpot community. That their metaphysics isn’t approved by the metaphysical consensus around “Jesus” doesn’t mean their POV shouldn’t be heard. The voices in their heads are as real and valid as those in the head of Monckton and Plimer and the folks from Fox and News Ltd.

I blame NAFTA. The American Warlocks just can’t compete anymore.

Yes , I saw that , but didn’t give them my click. Maybe they have “Work for the dole” people filling in over the Pagan Festival ?

I wonder if it has something to do with Gillard dropping Maurice Newman as chairman of the ABC.

What’s worse is they are not running the ridiculous yarn that Indonesia are making “people smuggling” easier when they are talking about fucking people seeking refugee protection which if our fucking useless media had bothered to check is nothing to do with fucking people smuggling.

Yeah, this is one of the more out there ones. But news from all over the place every day has stuff from religious/arcane/superstitious people speaking outside their area of competence. For mine, this is no better or worse than say Cardinal Pell talking about AGW for instance either….

Also, apropos of nothing, he also looks STARTLINGLY like my Old Man (He’s been dead for about 5 years).

More taxpayers’ money spent by the ABC fulfilling its Charter requirement to provide the public with independent, quality NEWS…

    Yep, completely agree.

I’m also pretty sure I read that hoax “depressed female tiger who lost her cubs adopts piglets” story on the ABC News page in the last week or two. Seems to have been quietly “disappeared” though.

How far the mighty have fallen.

    S’alright, I googled it.

Good to see they’re spending taxpayers’ money to provide the public with quality, independent news and information, as required by the ABC Act (the ABC Charter).

I’m loathe to give them the benefit of my click. Who is Warlock?

Is this guy a QUALIFIED warlock? Or is he like the people they bring in to provide balance for scientists who say the world is warming?
