Not about climate change – that’s more of his regular misleading cherry-picking of data. But on the general point, that the media get away with creating panic and concern by hyping initial claims and then burying corrections.
Something we regularly see (and comment on) from Andrew’s own employer, News Ltd, with its beatups on crime, on the carbon price, on the media inquiry, on political “scandals”…
Anyway, the specific examples aren’t what’s important here. What’s important is to remember the technique Andrew is
admitting exposing. A technique he expressly advises he’s aware of. Something to keep in mind.
